2 vehicle collision in Wadebridge leads to serious injuries

From Devon & Cornwall Police:

Two people were airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a two vehicle collision in Wadebridge last night [31 July].

Emergency services were called at 11.05pm to a collision between a silver Smart Roadster and a blue Peugeot 206 on the B3314 near Wadebridge Storage.

Both drivers were airlifted to Derriford Hospital.

The driver of the Smart Roadster, a 20-year-old Wadebridge man, sustained potentially life-changing injuries.

The Peugeot driver, a 36-year-old woman from New Polzeath also sustained multiple serious injuries.

The vehicles were both badly damaged as a result of the collision.

The road was closed for eight-and-a-half hours for a forensic scene examination and investigation to be carried out.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team and Serious Collision Investigation Team are appealing for witnesses and asking anyone with information to contact them.
